Special-Events
Interest and study groups are popular programs among members. The small group setting promotes personal friendships and stimulates specialized discussion. They include several book groups (afternoon and evening), world affairs, film, current AAUW topics.
New groups for 2007-2008 include Creative Writing, Scrabble, and International Dining (this group includes spouses or a guest, meeting every other month on a Saturday to share international food and discuss the countries of origin for the meal items).
LunchBunch events are held from 11:30-1:00 at a downtown restaurant or other venue. At each event, a member shares her expertise or hobby with the group, amid lunch and socializing. It appeals to both career women and women who like opportunities to lunch downtown with a fun group.
